It’s always fiesta time at Grand Hacienda restaurants, and you’re invited, amigos!
We all know that Mexican food is healthy, and that Guacamole has always been one of our favorite authentic Mexican tastes. But did you know that not only does guacamole taste divine, it’s good for you, too? That’s because the main ingredient is avocado, which is a well known superfood.
It’s a fact that guacamole is an excellent food, loaded with nutrients, many of which are lacking in the modern diet. Guacamole is heart healthy, weight loss friendly, and, of course, tastes awesome.
The top health benefits of avocado-rich guacamole are:
- It’s packed full of nutrients, such as vitamins K, B5, B6, C and E, folate and avocados have more potassium than bananas. They’re also crammed full of heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids
- It contains oleic acid, associated with reduced inflammation, and shown to have a beneficial effect on genes linked to cancer
- It’s loaded with fiber, which helps with weight loss and reduces blood sugar spikes
- It can lower cholesterol and promote heart health
- It’s stuffed with antioxidants, which may protect your eyes
Impressed? True Mexican food is light, bright and beautiful – as well as healthy. So, bienvenido a su casa, and enjoy!
